Garnishes and vegetables recipesBroccoli baked with sweet red pepper Take out of the fridge and kitchen cabinet the products you will need: broccoli (1 medium size for 2 people), cheese, olive oil and sweet red pepper (1 per person), salt and pepper (3 min). Switch on the oven to make it hot (1 min) Put a bit of olive oil into a vegetables baking form, wash broccoli and red pepper, cut them into large pieces and put them inside the baking dish (5 min). Add some salt and pepper, put it into the oven (1 min) Wait for 30 minutes. Take the broccoli from the oven, try it with a fork, if it got soft, salt it, add pepper and put a few pieces of cheese on it, put it back into the oven (1 min) Let it stay there 5 more minutes Take away the broccoli and serve it (1 min). Time needed: 12 minutes of cooking and 35 minutes break while broccoli gets baked Potatoes baked by halves and mushrooms Take out of the fridge and kitchen cabinet the products you will need: potatoes (2 per person), mushrooms (4 per person), olive oil, salt and pepper (2 min) Put a frying pan on fire. (1 min) Wash the potatoes thoroughly and cut them by halves at their long side, so that the halves have larger area of cut (3 min) Put 1 table spoon of olive oil into a frying pan and fry the potatoes at both sides (4 min). In the meanwhile wash the mushrooms (2 min). Put the potatoes into the vegetables baking form, put full mushrooms their with their stem up, salt the potatoes and mushrooms, put them into the oven (2 min) Have a rest for 20 minutes. Check with a fork, if the potatoes are soft. Then put them and mushrooms into a large dish. (1 min) (!) Tip: There will be some mushroom juice inside the mushrooms, so try to move them carefully, with stems up. Time needed: 15 minutes of cooking plus 20 minutes break for rest while the potatoes get baked Rice and Vegetables Take out of the fridge and kitchen cabinet the products you will need: sweet red pepper, rice (1 handful per person), onions (1 for 2 people), carrots (1 for 2-3 people), salt and pepper, soy sauce (3 min) Peel and cut the onions, put 2 table spoons of olive oil into the frying pan and saute onions there, reduce the heat (3 min) Wash the carrots and pepper, peel the carrots and cut them into small pieces, add them to the frying pan, add salt and pepper. (3 min) Cut sweet red pepper and put it into the frying pan. (2 min) Put the rice into a large bowl taking 1 handful per person, wash it and let the water out of it (2 min) (!) Tip: you can use brown rice, but it will be cooked longer Put the rice without water into the saucepan and stir (1 min) Add some water so it covers the rice by 5-7 cm (1 min) Let it boil for 10-12 minutes (the time is usually indicated at the pack) Taste the rice, if it is ready. If not, wait for some more time and taste again, add salt if needed. Time needed: 15 minutes of cooking plus 10-12 minutes break for rest while the rice is ready Mushrooms Baked in Clay Pots with Potatoes Take out of the fridge and kitchen cabinet the products you will need: mushrooms (4-5 per person), onions (1 for 2 people) and potatoes (1 per person), salt and pepper, cheese, sour cream (3 min). Put the frying pan and on fire, switch on the oven (1 min) Peel and cut the onions, put 2 table spoons of olive oil into the frying pan, put the onions there and stir (1 min) Wash, peel and cut the potatoes, wash and cut the mushrooms by halves (4 min) Check, if the onion began to turn brown and extinguish the fire (1 min) Put some olive oil into clay pots, using 1 pot per person. Then put onion, potatoes and mushrooms into the clay pots, add salt and pepper, put some sour cream above (2 min) Put the pots into the oven at medium heat, grate some cheese (4 min) Make a small break for 20 min, then check if potatoes are soft add grated cheese above and let it bake for 3 more minutes. Take away the pots. Time needed: 16 minutes of cooking plus 23 minutes break for rest while the potatoes are ready Egg-Plants Roasted with Other Vegetables Take out of the fridge and kitchen cabinet the products you will need: egg plants (1 per 2 people, sweet red pepper (1 per 2 people), marrow (1 per 2 people), carrots (1 per 2 people), onions (1 per 2 people), salt and pepper (3 min) Put the frying pan on fire (1 min) Peel and cut the onions, wash, peel and grate the carrots (4 min) Put 2 table spoons of olive oil on the sauce pan and then put there onion and carrots (1 min) Wash and dice the rest of vegetables (egg-plant, marrow and sweet red pepper), stir the onions (4 min). When the onion and carrots turn brown, add the rest of vegetables, salt and pepper, reduce the heat and let it simmer (10-15 min) Time needed: 14 minutes of cooking plus 10-15 minutes break for rest while the vegetables are ready Spinach Stewed with Tomatoes and Onions Take out of the fridge and kitchen cabinet the products you will need: fresh or frozen spinach, tomatoes (1 per 2 people), onions (1 per 2 people), parsley, salt and pepper, dry basil, sour cream (3 min) Put an empty saucepan on fire, put 2 tablespoons of olive oil inside (1 min) Peel and cut the onions, put them into the saucepan and stir, then reduce the heat (3 min) Take the spinach, cut it. When the onions begin to turn brown, add spinach and then some water, if necessary (3 min) Wash, skin and dice tomatoes, wash and cut the parsley, put tomatoes into the saucepan and stir, leaving the parsley aside. Add salt and pepper (3 min) Let it simmer for 10 minutes. Add sour cream and parsley to the spinach, then put it into another dish, decorate with fresh tomatoes (3 min) Time needed: 16 minutes of cooking and 10 minutes break while the spinach gets ready Potato Pancakes with Mushrooms (Deruny) Take out of the fridge and kitchen cabinet the products you will need: carrots (1 small per person), garlic, hard cheese, potatoes (1 per person), mushrooms (3 per person), salt and pepper, sour cream, olive oil, mineral water or juice (3 min) Wash and peel the carrots and potatoes (3 min). Put a frying pan on fire, while it is getting hot, peel and cut the onions (2 min) Put 3 tablespoon of olive oil and the onions into the frying pan, stir it occasionally with a wooden tablespoon (1 min) Wash the mushrooms, cut them by halves and then slice the halves (2 min) The onions should already turn brown, if so, add mushrooms to the frying pan. If not, wait a bit. After you added mushrooms, salt them and stir them carefully (2 min) Grate the carrots into a bowl, then grate a few garlic claws and a piece of cheese, add salt and sour cream, stir the salad (6 min) Grate the potatoes, add some salt there (3 min) Put the fried mushrooms into a large dish, wash the frying pan, put it on fire again and put some olive oil (2 min) Take 1 table spoon of grated potatoes, put it on a saucepan and press, make about 5-7 of such small pancakes on a frying pan (3 min) Turn the pancakes and fry, then put the ready ones on a dish with mushrooms and repeat until the grated potatoes are over (10 min) Time needed: 37 minutes |
